DESIZING AND BATCH DYE LAB TECHNICIAN         

JUNE 2023 – PRESENT 

WEEKS DYE WORKS – GARNER, NC  

  • Cut, iron, dye, finish process for dyeing linen in various cotton counts  
  • Became comfortable in hand dyeing with reactive dyes in around 50 colors  
  • Learned from other employees who have been in several sectors of the textile industry for over 60 years  

TEACHING ASSISTANT – FRESHMAN SEWING STUDIO

NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY – WILSON COLLEGE OF TEXTILES  

  • Instructed students through a variety of projects, materials, and to learn to sew  
  • Adapted course materials based on my teaching style and how the students learned best  
  • Created material, graded projects, and worked individually with students who needed extra help
